He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not also with Him freely give us all things? (Rom.8:32)
This is the unchanging promise of God for you to enjoy and experience this year. You may ask constantly, ‘How will this year be and what does God want to do in my life? Will there be a miracle in my life? Will I be healed and healthy this year? Will God provide my needs miraculously? Will there be harmony and peace in my life? Will there be signs and wonders in my ministry?’ For all your questions for the New Year, God replies you with a big question: “How shall I not.... freely give you ALL things along with My son”.
If you understand God’s question to you, all your doubts, anxieties and fears will be totally dissolved forever. The reason we question God is our lack of knowledge of God’s willingness and generosity. God wants you to get the revelation of Romans 8:32 this year as never before.
Diligent to possess
I believe in getting a fresh Word from God for every year, but I sense two dangers here. It becomes almost a religious custom to be fascinated to hunt for New Year promises. The thrill of the New Year promises vanishes a few days into the New Year, only to resurrect once again at the beginning of the next year. People do nothing about the promises they receive and their life becomes boring routine. We neither expect a fulfillment nor wage a good warfare with the promises God gives us (1.Tim.1:18). We are not diligent to work hard and aggressively to inherit God’s promises with all endurance and persistence. We easily throw away our confidence that has great reward (Heb.10:35, 36).
Embrace all promises
Another danger of getting a New Year promise is that we limit our expectation within the horizon of our promises. Every promise that God has given from Genesis to Revelation should be claimed and experienced every year. All the promises of God in Him are yes and in Him amen to you (2. Cor.1:20). Imagine what would happen if we gathered all the promises given to all our pastors and leaders for this year. It would cover almost every Bible promise from Genesis to Revelation. God’s main intention is to increase our expectation. God is challenging you this year to explore every new territory and every one of His promises.
When all the promises of God are freely available to you anytime, why should you be satisfied with one or two promises for an entire year? My heart is always agitated when I hear teachings that limit and put boundaries to our inheritance in Christ. God wants you to break all the mental blocks that limit you from enjoying God’s bountiful riches. Get excited about every promise of God this year.
God is challenging you to enlarge your capacity and embrace every blessing that is yours in Christ. Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for an abundant catch (Lk.5:4). Let not your past failures hinder your future miracles. Do not reason and argue about any of God’s provisions. This is the only way to release and to receive God’s wealth.
The all-inclusive promise
The greatest blessing of heaven is God’s Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Your daddy God did not spare His own Son from you. The greatest promise that includes all the other promises is the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ coming into this world. Every blessing that you can ever imagine is wrapped up in the Son of God. God delivered Him up for you and me even to pour out His very life on the cross.
Can you ever fathom the high value of the Son of God? What is His worth? Will it be millions of dollars or billions of dollars? Nothing under heaven or above heaven could ever take the place of Jesus. There is none like Him. He is the greatest and incomparable Treasure of heaven. This incomparable Treasure came to dwell in your heart. The very God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness is shining in your heart. He delivered His greatest treasure, to come and live in your earthen vessel (2.Cor.4:6, 7). Wow! What a love! What a generous gift! What unsearchable riches of Christ! Oh, the love that passes all our understanding! If God opens our eyes to see this revelation, our faith will soar in heavenly realms.
All things
The Holy Spirit clearly challenges us with the question, “How shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” ‘All things’ includes every single one of your needs. It is as if God is saying, “How shall I not heal your body? How can I not manifest my miracles? How shall I not prosper you with riches and honor? How shall I not use you powerfully with signs and wonders? How shall I not answer your deep longings and prayers? How shall I not bless you with long life? All your needs are met along with your Savior Jesus. When you received Christ and the Holy Spirit, the whole heaven is opened up for you.
Year of open heavens
The Son of God came from heaven to open all the heavens for you. You are right now walking directly under the open heaven. Every blessing of heaven is available to you freely.
You can see this prophetic picture at the baptism of our Lord. “When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him” (Matt.3:16).
When Jesus came out of the water, the heavens were opened to Him, and the Spirit of God descended upon Him. After the Spirit came down,; did the heavens shut again? No! No! They are still open for those who received Christ and the Holy Spirit. Walking under an open heaven means all the blessings of the heavens are heaped upon you and you are enriched in everything and come short in nothing (Eph.1:3; 1.Cor.1:5-7). Under the open heaven, His divine power has given to you all things that pertain to your earthly life and Godly life (2.Pet.1:3).
When heaven is open to you, you prosper in all things, and enjoy perfect health in your soul and body (3.Jn.2). He gives you richly all things to enjoy (1.Tim.6:17). As heaven invades the earth, you became a connecting link between heaven and earth.
For Old Testament saints, open heaven and free access to the heavenly riches were just a dream, but their dreams became reality for us. Jacob had a dream of open heavens at Bethel. “Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it” (Gen.28:12). From the top of the ladder, God spoke to Jacob in his dream.
Heaven and earth united
God did not spare His own Son and delivered Him up to die on the cross because of our offenses (Rom.4:25). He demonstrated His own love toward us when we were born sinners, and gave His Son to die for us (Rom.5 :8). The sins that separated heaven and earth were broken on the cross and the heavens were opened. Your Savior came to this earth, fulfilled all God’s righteousness as your Substitute, and opened the heavens for you.
When Christ came to dwell in your life, you and Christ together became the way and ladder between heaven and earth. Jesus made it very clear to His disciple Nathanael. Jesus answered and said unto him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree’, do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man” (Jn.1:50, 51). Every believer in Christ can see heaven open and angels ascending and descending upon our indwelling Son of God.
You are God’s host and heaven’s gate
The greatest good news of the New Testament is that we became the house of God and we host Him. We are the gates of heaven (Gen.28:17). Multitudes of God’s angels are ministering to us night and day (Heb.1:14). They constantly ascend and descend upon us as Christ lives in us as the hope of glory. This year angels are waiting for your orders. The more you proclaim and demand God’s blessings, the busier they become to discharge heavenly blessings upon you. They literally wait to hear and do God’s Word that comes through your mouth (Ps.103:20). As you joyfully accept this revelation, you bring heaven on earth wherever you go. God’s angels are constantly carrying your prayers and desires to God and bringing God’s answers and miracles back to you. Oh! What are the riches of God’s mercy and liberality!
Beloved, your God not only gave up His own Son for you, He lavishly fulfilled all your needs and your desires along with His Son Jesus. It is the same package. Please unfold it this with strong determination and release heaven on earth. The blessings of heaven are not falling from heaven like small packages. The whole heaven is opened up freely for you!. You do not need to ask and beg for it. Just see it with your spiritual eyes and thank God for the open heaven. Do not wait, but take. All His promises are given to you as an open cheque for you to fill it up. It is up to you to draw from your open heaven as much as you want this year. You can become a millionaire if you want. You can become a miracle worker if you want. You can walk in perfect health and vitality if you want, all because of the open heaven above your head.
Year of enemy’s camp opening up
Whatever the devil has stolen from you will be restored back to you seven fold this year. The enemy can no longer hold back your blessings and your miracles. The fortress of the enemy’s limitations over you is broken.
Do you remember how Samaria was besieged by the Syrians in the time of Elisha? All the people of God suffered terrible famine even to the extent of eating their own children. At the peak of desperation, the four lepers, who were sitting idly at the entrance gate of Samaria took a wise decision which altered the whole course of history.
See this! “Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die? “If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come let us surrender to the army of Syrians; if they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die” (2.Ki.7:3,4).
I believe this is the prophetic condition of today’s Church. God’s people are waiting passively inside their prison when the enemy besieges them. The people of God unnecessarily suffer lack, defeat, disease and depression. May be we have opened the door somewhere in our lives for the enemy to imprison us. This year God’s prophetic Word is coming to you to march on into his territory and to take back what he has stolen.
It is time to shake ourselves from all slothfulness and passivity and become desperate for a change. We must come to the breaking point as those four lepers did. If we continue doing what we are doing today, we will die anyhow. If we go back to the condition of others, still we will die in defeat and failure. It is better to jump into the enemy’s territory, not to surrender but to subdue him daring to die for Christ and His people.
Remember what has happened to those lepers. When they came to the outskirts of the camp, the whole enemy’s camp was opened for them. They ate, drank and carried away silver, gold and clothing as much as they could. At last, they realised that they were called to carry the good news of the enemy’s defeat to the people of God. As a result, the Israelites chased their enemies and saw all the road full of garments and weapons and plundered them. The Israelites experienced tremendous victory and enormous prosperity all of a sudden.
The miracle happened because of two reasons as per the word of Elisha. One reason is the desperation of the four lepers. They became extremely despaired of their lives and they realised it was better to die in the new territory than to do nothing.
Beloved, as long as you accept and tolerate your present condition as normal, you will never make any progress. You will die like mere man. But the moment you dare to take a bold step into a new territory, God will release His miracles. It is not the time to sit and moan your plight, wallowing in self-pity. Many believers maintain their status quo, living a lukewarm life. But the desperate people who dare to die for the Lord and live for others have plundered the enemy’s camp and blessed the multitudes. God is challenging you this year to step into your possession. Declare war against the enemy’s limitations. Refuse to be passive anymore. Rise up like Esther saying, “If I perish, I perish”. Remember, the violent take the Kingdom of God by force. The enemy is holding the ground for long because of the laziness and passivity of the people of God. Shake yourself from all your fears and doubts and be aggressive and violent.
Another reason for their miracle is the way God fought the battle for His people. See the interesting and funny way God chased His enemies. “For the Lord has caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses - the noise of a great army; so they said one to another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to attack us!” Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact – their tents, their horses, and their donkeys – and they fled for their lives” (2.Ki.7:6, 7).
Every time I read the battles of the Lord in the Bible, I laugh in my heart. Just by breaking the pots, God’s enemies were scattered. When the priests blew the trumpets and the people of God shouted, the Jericho wall fell flat. When the army of the Lord began to sing, the enemies killed themselves.
In this battle, God just caused the noise of horses and chariots and of a great army to be heard. May be the angelic army of the Lord, made such a noise and confounded God’s enemies. The Syrians thought thet Israelites had gathered many more kings and came to attack them. Yes, when someone is in fear they guess very wrongly. As a result they ran, leaving all their properties and belongings for God’s people to plunder.
Beloved of God, your daddy God did not spare His own Son and delivered Him up for you on the cross where He proclaimed victoriously, “It is finished”. That sound echoed into the enemies’ camp and shattered them to pieces. All the principalities and powers were totally stripped of all their power on the cross (Col.2:15). All your diseases were destroyed on the cross. The power of death was swallowed, lack and poverty was abolished and all your curses were broken.
All you have to do now is to make a joyful noise of Christ’s victory over death, disease and defeat. As you keep shouting and praising the Lord, the enemy will leave all your blessings and run in fear. You will possess new territories and regain everything you had lost before.
Truly, this is the year of restoration for you. Take back your possessions. This is the year of great harvest! Claim it! This is the year of mighty signs and wonders! Go for it! This is the year of unbelievable financial prosperity! Enjoy it! This is the year of the Holy Ghost! Crave for it! This is the year of open door! Run into it! This is the year of big plans and visions! Embrace it! This is the year of God’s reward! Receive it! This is the year of unusual faith! Build it! This is the year of God’s glory! Prepare for it! This is the year of plundering hell! Rise up! This is the year of restoration! Take it back! Time is short! Be diligent! In Jesus’ Name!
