NO INABILITIES IN CHRIST

Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent… I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” So the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth?… Go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say…”

For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say. (Ex.4:10-12; Lk.12:12)

God was patiently answering every one of Moses’ questions to dispel his doubts, but again, Moses swayed back to his unbelief. Then Moses said to the LORD, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent… I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” Anything from self hinders the faith of our inner man, who is born of God. Anything from self – self-pity, self-abasement, self-depreciation, self-rejection, self-condemnation, self-awareness, self-consciousness and so on – stifles our miracle faith. Here, Moses was very conscious of his speech impediment and tried to convince God as if He were unaware, while God was trying to turn his focus away from himself. God reassured him of His Presence and promised him He would be with his mouth and teach him His very words (Ex.4:10-12).

God chose you for His purpose. He knew all about your stubbornness, treacherous nature and natural inadequacies. Yet for His own sake He has chosen you (Isa.48:4,8-11). In Christ, He replaced all your insufficiencies with His great sufficiency. The very reason He made you His home is to fill your weaknesses with His strength. He fills everything everywhere with Himself and makes everything complete in Him (Eph.1:23).

Beloved, the excellence of His power is within you, the earthen vessel (2.Co.4:7). The earthen vessel speaks of your human frailty. Magnify your inner man, not your outer man. In Christ, see all your inabilities and impediments turning into opportunities for God’s super-power!
